Invert Systems Terms of Service
Invert Systems — Invert Core, Rotation Scheduler, ChalkScore, Invert Eye and GymBux Version 1, 12 October 2026.
The short version
- These terms cover every Invert product a club uses or pays for through Invert Core: Rotation Scheduler, ChalkScore, Invert Eye for clubs, GymBux, and the suite of all four.
- You pay by the month, the quarter or the year, or for one ChalkScore competition. Prices include GST, and every payment comes with a tax invoice.
- Try before you pay. Rotation Scheduler, Invert Eye and the suite come with 14 days free, once per club. ChalkScore's low-cost way in is a single competition.
- Cancel any time. You keep what you have paid for until the end of the period, and nothing more is charged.
- Your data stays yours. We hold it only to run our products for you, it is stored in Australia, and our Club Data Processing Agreement says exactly how we look after it.
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Who these terms are between
Invert Systems, a business operated by Vaughn Ray Edmonds as a sole trader, ABN 44 869 392 328, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia — "we", "us" and "our" below. Contact: vaughn@invertsystems.com.au.
The club or organisation that uses our products — "the club" and "you" below. A league or association is a "club" for the purposes of these terms.
A club accepts these terms when its owner in Invert Core accepts them on the club's behalf — when signing the club up, when choosing a plan, or when asked to accept a new version — or when the club signs an order or quote that refers to them. That person confirms they are authorised to bind the club.
2. What these terms cover
These terms are the agreement for the club's use of, and payment for:
- Invert Core, the club's shared record and sign-in, where the club's owners choose and pay for its products;
- Rotation Scheduler, weekly apparatus rotations;
- ChalkScore, competition scoring;
- Invert Eye for clubs, the club plan of the Invert Eye app; and
- GymBux, rewards, available as part of the suite.
They sit alongside two other documents, which form part of the agreement:
- the Club Data Processing Agreement — how we handle the personal information the club puts into our products, including children's information; and
- our Privacy Policy — written for parents, and the club may point families to it.
Both are published at www.invertsystems.com.au/legal. Where these terms and the Club Data Processing Agreement disagree about personal information, the Club Data Processing Agreement applies. Where a signed order or quote agreed with the club disagrees with these terms, the order or quote applies.
The free Invert Eye app. A coach can use the Invert Eye app without a club plan, under the App Store's terms and Invert Eye's own privacy policy. These terms apply once a club uses Invert Eye for clubs.
ChalkScore's earlier terms. These terms replace the ChalkScore Terms of Service (version 1, 8 October 2026). A club that accepted those keeps them until it accepts these, or until its next ChalkScore renewal, whichever comes first.
3. Plans and prices
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
| Product | Standard price | Member price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rotation Scheduler | A$29 a month, A$87 a quarter, A$290 a year | A$19, A$57, A$190 | 14 days free first |
| ChalkScore | A$290 a year, or A$199 for one competition | A$190, or A$129 | No free trial (section 6) |
| Invert Eye for clubs | A$20 a month, A$60 a quarter, A$200 a year | A$13, A$39, A$130 | 14 days free first |
| The suite: all four, including GymBux | A$58 a month, A$174 a quarter, A$580 a year | A$38, A$114, A$380 | 14 days free first, for a club not already paying for a product |
| The suite, founding rate: the first ten clubs | A$45 a month, A$135 a quarter, A$450 a year | A$29, A$87, A$290 | See below |
| Organisations | By written quote | — | Leagues, associations and groups of clubs |
- A year costs ten months. Quarterly is three months at the monthly price.
- The member price is for clubs that are members of Gymnastics Clubs Australia, and for clubs that join through a partner we have named as offering it. The club must qualify when it subscribes and at each renewal, and we may ask for evidence. A club that stops qualifying moves to the standard price at its next renewal, and we will tell it at least 30 days before.
- The founding rate is for the first ten clubs to subscribe to the suite. A club keeps it for as long as its suite subscription continues without a break, including when it changes between monthly, quarterly and annual. If the club cancels and the subscription ends, the founding rate ends with it, and a later subscription is at the price then current.
- GymBux is not sold on its own: it comes with the suite.
- Price changes apply only from a subscription's next renewal, and we will tell the club at least 30 days before. A subscription keeps the price it started on until then, even if the club's price category changes. A price agreed in a quote stays as agreed for the period the quote covers.
4. Paying
- By card, in Invert Core. The club's owner chooses a plan under Club → Plan and pays on Stripe's secure payment page. Stripe, our payment provider, holds the card details; we never see them.
- Tax invoices. Every payment comes with a tax invoice showing our ABN and the GST included. The club's owners can see the club's invoices and receipts, and update its card, under Manage card and invoices.
- Organisations that are invoiced pay within 14 days of the invoice. If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue we will remind the club in writing; if it is still unpaid 14 days after that reminder, the products it covers are paused (section 10) until it is paid.
5. Free trials
- Fourteen days, once per club and product: Rotation Scheduler, Invert Eye for clubs, and the suite. A club that has already had a product, by any route, does not get a second trial of it. A club that already pays for a product moves to the suite straight away, without a trial, because the suite replaces what it pays for (section 8).
- A trial chosen in Invert Core asks for a card at the start. Nothing is charged during the trial. The first payment is taken when it ends, unless the club cancels before then. We, or Stripe on our behalf, will remind the club's owners before a trial ends.
- A club that signs up with Invert Core starts with a 14-day trial of Rotation Scheduler, without a card. It ends by itself unless the club chooses a plan.
6. ChalkScore for one competition
There is no free trial of ChalkScore: a single competition is the low-cost way to try it.
- A single-competition purchase covers one competition: the competition named when it is bought, on its date. The club can set it up, take entries and run it from the time of purchase.
- Full access lasts until 14 days after the competition date, so the club can finish results, awards, certificates and reprints. After that the club's ChalkScore turns read-only (section 10).
- The purchase covers that one competition only. It cannot be used for a second competition, and moving it to a different competition needs our agreement in writing. One single-competition purchase can be open at a time; for more, ChalkScore for the year covers every competition.
- If the competition is postponed, we will move the purchase to the new date on request.
- It counts towards the year. If the club takes ChalkScore for the year, or the suite, within 60 days of paying for a single competition, what it paid comes off, once, automatically. Where it fits within the first payment it is a discount on it; otherwise it is a credit on the club's account that comes off the payments that follow until it is used up.
- Refund. A single-competition purchase is refunded in full if the club cancels at least 14 days before the competition date and before any score has been entered for it.
7. Renewing and cancelling
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month, quarter or year unless the club cancels before the renewal date. For a yearly plan we will email the club's owners at least 14 days before each renewal.
- The club may cancel at any time, under Club → Plan. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the club keeps full access until the end of the period it has paid for, nothing more is charged, and it can undo the cancellation until then.
- Refunds. We do not refund part-used periods, except where these terms or the Australian Consumer Law say otherwise. Section 6 covers a single competition.
8. Changing a plan
- To a longer period — monthly to quarterly or yearly, or quarterly to yearly — the change starts straight away. The unused part of the current period is credited, and the difference is charged to the club's card then. If that payment does not go through, nothing changes.
- To a shorter period, the change starts when the period the club has paid for ends, so the club loses nothing it has paid for. Until then the club can undo it.
- During a free trial, the period changes straight away and the trial carries on.
- Moving to the suite starts the suite straight away. The subscriptions it replaces end at the same time, and the unused part of each is credited against the suite.
9. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries the card again over about two weeks and emails the club's billing contact (the owner who chose the plan) asking them to update it. The club keeps full use of its products while the payment is retried. If the last attempt also fails, the subscription is cancelled and the products it paid for end (section 10). The club can subscribe again at any time.
10. When a product ends or is paused
A product ends for a club when the club cancels and its paid period finishes, when a trial or a single-competition period finishes without a plan, when a subscription is cancelled for non-payment (section 9), or when either of us ends the agreement. It is paused while an organisation's invoice is unpaid (section 4). In each case:
- ChalkScore turns read-only. The club's staff can still sign in and view, print and download all of its competitions, results, certificates and reports, but cannot create a competition or enter a score, and its judges' and scorer's PINs stop working. Public results stay up, so families can still see past results.
- Rotation Scheduler pauses. The club's gym, classes and committed weeks stay as they are, and it can still see and print its current week, but it cannot build a new one. A live view on a screen keeps showing the last committed schedule.
- Invert Eye goes back to the free app on the club's devices. Clips already kept on a device stay there, but the roster, tagging of new clips to gymnasts, syncing and pairing new devices stop.
- GymBux stops for the club's coaches and gymnasts.
- Choosing a plan again restores full use, with nothing lost, while the club's information is still held.
- After 90 days without any product, we give the club a complete copy of its information on request and delete it, as set out in the Club Data Processing Agreement. A club that only ever used Rotation Scheduler holds no children's information with us; its information is kept until it asks us to delete it, or until two years pass with nobody from the club signing in. Our backups are kept for 30 days, so the last copy is gone no more than 30 days after the deletion.
11. Accounts and roles
- Staff accounts. The club's staff sign in to every product with their Invert Core account. The club's owners invite staff in Invert Core and choose each person's role: owner, editor or viewer. Only an owner can choose, change or cancel the club's plans. The club is responsible for inviting only the people who need access, giving the least role they need, and removing people who leave. Owners of a club that holds children's information sign in with a second step (a code from an app).
- ChalkScore scoring stations. Judges and the scorer station sign in with a PIN, without an account. A PIN works only on a device that has opened the club's station link. The club must keep its station link and PINs to its own people, change a PIN that may have been seen, and make a new station link if a device is lost.
- Invert Eye devices. Each coach's phone or iPad joins the club with the club's code, which only the club's owners can see. The owners can see the club's devices and remove one that is lost or belongs to someone who has left; a removed device loses the club's roster, consent records and tagged clips.
- Security. The club must tell us promptly at vaughn@invertsystems.com.au if it believes an account, PIN, station link or club code has been misused.
12. The club's information
- It is the club's. Everything the club and its people put into our products belongs to the club. The club gives us permission to hold and use it only to provide, secure, support and repair our products for the club, as set out in the Club Data Processing Agreement.
- We do not use it for anything else. We do not sell it, use it to advertise, use it to train any artificial-intelligence model, or combine it with another club's information.
- Video stays on the club's devices. Footage filmed with Invert Eye is saved on the device that filmed it and never reaches us; we hold only each clip's details, such as whose skill it is, its name and the drawings on it.
- Visiting clubs that enter gymnasts in the club's ChalkScore competition give information that is held as part of the club's competition, and the club is responsible for it as it is for its own.
- Public results. ChalkScore publishes a competition's results to anyone with its results link or QR code, and shows them on the club's screens. Where a gymnast's family has not agreed to their full name being shown, public screens show only their first name and the first letter of their last name. The club is responsible for recording that consent accurately and for telling families that results are published.
- Getting it out. The club's owners can export the club's information from Invert Core at any time, and download ChalkScore results as spreadsheets and PDFs. On request we will give the club a complete copy of its ChalkScore information within 14 days.
13. What the club is responsible for
- Collecting information lawfully, holding the consents it records, and telling families how their information is used, including that ChalkScore results are published.
- The accuracy of what it relies on. Our products calculate rotations, scores, ranks and bands from what is entered and the club's settings. The club remains responsible for checking results before it publishes placings or presents awards, for its judges' decisions, and for supervision in its gym.
- Following the rules of its sport, including Gymnastics Australia's member protection and child safe policies.
- Using our products properly. The club must not: use them for anything unlawful; put in information it has no right to use; try to reach another club's information; probe, overload or test their security without our written agreement; copy, resell or reverse engineer them; or let anyone outside the club use its access.
14. Availability and support
- We work to keep our products available at all times, and ChalkScore especially during competitions. If the club tells us its competition dates at least 7 days ahead, we will not make planned changes to ChalkScore during them. We cannot promise our products will never be interrupted: they depend on internet connections and on the services listed in the Club Data Processing Agreement. The club should keep paper judge sheets as a backup at every competition, and a printed copy of its week's rotations.
- Changes. We may improve, change or replace features over time. We will not remove something the club relies on during a period it has paid for without at least 30 days' notice, and if a change leaves the club materially worse off, the club may end its subscription and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused part of what it paid.
- Support is by email to vaughn@invertsystems.com.au. We answer within one business day, and on a competition day the club has told us about, as quickly as we can.
- Backups are taken every night and kept for 30 days, encrypted.
15. Our intellectual property
Our products, their software and their design belong to us. The club receives the right to use them for its own purposes while it has them. If the club sends us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without any obligation to the club.
16. Australian Consumer Law, and limits on liability
- Your rights. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy the club has under that law.
- Our liability. To the extent the law allows, if we fail to meet these terms, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or refunding what the club paid for the affected period, and in any case to the total the club paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Indirect loss. To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for loss of profit, revenue or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss.
- What these limits do not cover. They do not limit either party's liability for breach of the Club Data Processing Agreement, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
17. Ending the agreement
- The club may end the agreement at any time by telling us in writing, or by cancelling every plan (section 7 covers a paid period).
- We may end the agreement with at least 30 days' written notice, refunding the unused part of any period the club has paid for.
- Either of us may end the agreement straight away by written notice if the other seriously breaches these terms and does not fix the breach within 14 days of being told about it in writing.
- Sections 10, 12, 15 and 16 continue after the agreement ends.
18. Changes to these terms
We will give the club at least 30 days' notice by email of any change to these terms. A change applies from the club's next renewal, unless the law requires it sooner or it does not disadvantage the club. If the club does not accept a change, it may end the agreement before the change applies and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused part of what it paid.
19. Notices
We send notices by email to the club's owners at the email addresses of their Invert Core accounts. The club sends notices to us at vaughn@invertsystems.com.au. A notice sent by email is received when it reaches the recipient's inbox, unless the sender is told it was not delivered.
20. Disputes and law
If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it by talking directly. If that does not resolve it within 30 days, either of us may refer it to mediation through the Australian Disputes Centre in Sydney before starting court proceedings, except where urgent relief is needed. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and both of us submit to the courts of New South Wales.
21. General
- The whole agreement. These terms, the Club Data Processing Agreement, the Privacy Policy and any signed order or quote are the whole agreement between us about our products.
- Transfer. The club may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to a business that takes over our products, if we tell the club in writing and the new business agrees to these terms and the Club Data Processing Agreement.
- If part is invalid, the rest still applies.
- Not insisting on a right at one time does not give it up.
- Events beyond our control. Neither of us is responsible for a failure caused by something outside its reasonable control, such as a widespread internet or power outage, as long as it tells the other promptly and does what it reasonably can to limit the effect.
Previous versions of these terms are kept, so it is always possible to establish what they said on a given date.
